PESACH 5770 Lam van Eenheid

Juda Groenteman, 26 maart, 2010

B’Ohel Hatzadikiem

FREE Messianic Passover Haggadah Download

It is that time soon approaching, Passover, which this year begins on the 8th April 2009 (for those observing the Hebrew calendar 14th Abib). There is about a day or two difference depending on what calendar one is using and whether it is the 14th or the 15th day, that is observed.

I have noticed that some people have been looking for a free Messianic Passover Haggadah that they can download and use. So I have found one for you.

The website says:

This Passover Haggadah is designed specifically for those who have been raised in the Christian tradition but are longing to experience a deeper understanding of their (our) faith. At least one first-time Seder leader stated, “This made it easy for me to lead my first Seder. Thank you so much!” The entire book prints out at twenty-one pages and is set with wide left margins for binding. You may print as many copies as you need. If you would like to make changes to suit your personal needs, contact me and I will send the book as a Word document.

The Messianic Haggadah lays out how the Passover is observed citing scriptural references, and when to eat and drink the matzohs and wine. It can be downloaded HERE.

Each year,

Jews make feverish and intensive preparations for the Passover  holiday with the Seder as its centerpiece. However, we are still missing the true centerpiece of the Passover table: namely the Paschal Offering, or Korban Pesach.

Korban Pesach is a Biblical commandment of the highest order, with the command repeated and amplified to us in three different places: Exodus 12, 3-12, Numbers 9, 1-13 and Deuteronomy 16. Just as circumcision, the first commandment imposed on an individual Jew, our forefather Abraham brought us into the covenant as individuals, the commandment of Korban-Pesach, the first commandment imposed on the Jewish People as a collective - obligating men, women and even children - brings us into the covenant as a People.

Family Album

Maybe the reason kids nowadays don't respect their parents is because they learn in school that their great grandparents were orangutans.

Tonight - Monday night - is Passover Seder night. Seder night is a family affair when children, parents, grandparents and great grandparents get together to refresh our awareness that we are descended from holy ancestors whom Hashem delivered from bondage in Egypt. The more we go back in time, the closer we get to our monumentally holy great grandparents. That's why we have so much regard for previous generations. Have a look:

The Easter Math Problem

truth about sunrise services and good friday

Even school children can easily recognize the Easter math problem of Jesus being in the tomb for three days if he died on Good Friday and resurrected on Easter Sunday.  The Messiah Himself said, ""A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.  For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth," Matthew 12:40-41.  There are not three days and three nights between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning.  From this passage one must conclude that either the Bible is wrong or the traditions of a Good Friday death and Sunday morning resurrection are in error.  No stretch of the imagination can create three nights between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning.
